The last bit of my home renovation is getting done, but I still haven’t finished decorating the main open area! Having an open floor plan is not alway the easies to pull together when it comes to decorating. There must be a flow that makes it all work together.
There is not much wall space, but the one wall in the living area must have an impact! It’s the largest wall above the sectional and it’s a BLANK space. I could do anything and I’m having trouble deciding on the direction to go with. For this area I have purchase an area rug that has introduces the color blue. It’s a distress floral pattern that has a vintage look and it works fabulous with the tile I used in the kitchen.I LOVE IT! I wanted each room to feel really special, but using the same color pallette helped tie it all together.
So it’s time to brainstrom….

The ideas are endless, I just want to find the right choice since it will be the main focal of the room. The most important thing is, it has to be ME. I always tell my clients you need to love the space after I finish pulling it all together. It should feel like they live there not me. So it’s really important that when I am all done decorating our house it’s a place we can call HOME!
Continue to follow along on my journey to see how this space turns out, the wall is only one of the many things I still need to address. Next I need to finish dressing the windows.
