Dining rooms, does anyone have a dining room these days?
I never had a dining room, but in our new home we have an area that I call the dining room, it’s open to the rest of the home, but unique because we chose to have the dining room in front of the fireplace.
When we started plannng our home renovation the goal was to have an inviting, family friendly space. We knew we wanted the kitchen to open up to the living area so we could enjoy entertaining. But I also wanted to be able to invite people over for dinner and still have that casual feel. So having the table by fireplace was the perfect choice for us.
