I was always one to work on little projects or try to recreate something I saw in a store. But it’s been awhile since I rolled up my selves and did something that I was impressed with the end result!
As you know we are renovating our new home. The kitchen is almost completed and I find myself with some extra materials that I thought I could make something usefull with.
So I have some leftover planks, backsplash tile & cabinet hardware. So I am going to make a large tray and I’m planning on keeping it on the the kitchen island
First I cut, sanded and stain the planks slightly darker then my counter. Attach them together and add a handle to each end.
I made it long enough to fit 12 tiles with a little room so you could see the stained wood.
Drum roll please….. I think it is going to be a perfect addition to my kitchen.
When I entertain it will be great to place hot food on or an array of appetizers. And when I’m not, I will enjoy decortating it for each season of the year!
