I wanted a space that I could feel inspired and motivated when I was working from home, but I also needed it to function as a closet, dressing room & a space to unwind and do yoga…my solution a Cloffice!
How I Turned a Spare Bedroom into the Ultimate Cloffice!
Are you wondering what a Cloffice is? Basically it is a closet, nook or space in your home that is transformed into many uses. My Unlitmate Cloffice was way over due. When I think back I don’t know how I fuctioned for the past 3 years!
It is important to me that when I’m working I can easily jump on a virtual call without having to worry about my surroundings. I also needed to be able to have all my tools on hand to fuction. I wanted the ease of getting ready at the beginning of my day and unwinding at the end, so it was important to have functional and stylish storage! Because this space will typically juggle a number of activities, I needed to consider function as I planned the design. I also thought about what duties will it support?
I started with a list of the items I needed to store, plus the equipment, furnishings, and supplies required to successfully complete all jobs. With this list in mind I created an inspiration design board and got to work planning.
- Desk & Chair
- Space to hang clothes
- Draw Space for both clothing & office tools
- Filing & stylish open baskets to store products
- Light, both ceiling & task
- Area to easily place a mat for yoga
I love how the cabinets came out. I used Ikea for the basic box & drawers but, the fronts are custom made and painted in my new favorite Benjamin Moore color Quarry Rock-1568, it works so well with the Wall color Silver Song -1557 & Trim color White Dove – OC-17. Using these colors together make this room feel warm and inviting.
I am happy this was the last project on my list because, it gave me the time to discover how the space had to function as the Ulitmate Cloffice!
