Hello There!
It’s been a long 2 1/2 years and I’m happy to say we have only one more room to tackle then we are done!
Let’s start with the before pictures of the kitchen. If you are not following me on Instagram make sure you head over because I’ve been sharing a lot more photos starting with day 1.
Here are some photos of what the kitchen looked like when we first moved in. It was small and old. Not very functional or stylish and it was closed off from the living area.
Demo Day!
The house is not big enough to have a wall seperating the living and dining area and the kitchen was so small that the only way the house was going to work for our lifestyle was to take all the walls DOWN.
Design Time
We loved the original wood floors, but after we started demoing we realized they needed to be replaced and now we couldn’t be happier with the wide plank floor and we decided to install them through out the entire house.
Next the cabinets, appliances & counter. Then we started designing the island. We didn’t intend to have the island this large, but as the room started coming together we decided to double the storage which ment double the size
After
I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I’m still working on a few finishing touches, but you can’t rush those things
