After I shared my two bathroom renovations I started receiving questions like ” how did you chose the right vanity”? So I thought I would give you a few helpful tips.
First I want to start by telling you that our first bathroom we renovated in our home had to be done quick. We needed a fuctional bathroom in order to live in the home while we renovated.I couldn’t do anything custom, so I looked for a stocked vanity that was ready to ship!
You want to make sure the size and storage needed fits the space. I knew I wanted to be able to have some draws for the every day essentials. I also wanted to be able to store extra toiletries. So in my search I looked for a 48″ single vanity that included both draws & doors. I also wanted it to be a weathered stained finish with a white counter. I was lucky enough to find what I was looking for at The Home Depot.
Here are some other styles that could of worked for my guest bathroom:
For my master bathroom I wanted to have a clean simple look. I loved the look of a floating vanity and since I wasn’t looking for a lot of storage it works for me.
My vanity was custom made, but there are a lot of floating vanity/sink options I could of considered.
I think the best advise I could give anyone that is starting a bathroom renovation is:
- Make a list of must haves
- Think about the total “look” you want to achieve
- Most important have a budget!
