-
Shades
- A shade gives you 2 options, it’s either raised to expose your view or lowered to give you privacy
- they are great for room darkening-room darkening shades block out the light and are used in bedrooms or media room, not in common areas of your home
-
Blinds
- give you more options, keeping them lowered gives you a complete look with the ability to tilt the vanes to redirect the sun, give you privacy or view out the window
- they should be kept lowered because when they are raised they do have a large stack
- they are not reccomended for room darkening
-
Shutters
- custom fitted for your windows, they do not raise & lower
- they are panels with louvers that you tilt closed for privacy or open for the view
-
Roman shades
- can be decorative, light filtering or room darkening-very versatile and a finished look for any room
-
Drapes
-
- decorative or operable when used with the correct hardware if
- they are lining so can be room darkening or light filtering
- layered with shades or blinds
-
Valance
- fabric toppers, that can be made in many styles, installed over the top of your window.
- they can be used on their own or layered over drapes, blinds or shades
-
Cornice
- a wood box, padded and covered with fabric to fit over the top of your window.
- it can be made in many shapes and be used on their own or layered over drapes, blinds or shades.
