For the past 2 years we have been renovating our home, but the master bathroom is what I have been waiting for since day one. I couldn’t wait to tackel this project and the day is finally here for me to share it with you!
Here is where it all started, with my inspirational board.
First lets look back at what the master bathroom used to look like. It was a disaster!
Yes, it’s small, but keeping the design simple and neutral makes it appear so much bigger than it originally did.
Welcome to my NEW master bathroom
The vanity was custom made. The apron style is made of pine and we purchased a simple sink top. The open shelf is deep enough to store all we need and the baskets are both decorative and practical.
Instead of using subway tile I chose 6 x 6 square tile to help give a more open feel to the bathroom.
It’s a small shower but with the addition of the long niche it’s actually the perfect size and I love that it’s accented with the small black hexagon tile!
I didn’t want the bathroom to feel modern so I went with a traditional black & white hexagon tile for the floor and I thought it would be interesting to use the same tile for the ceiling of the shower. But the BEST thing is when we step out of the shower we step onto a heating floor, which I highly recommend.
The details are so important when planning a renovation, by placing the sink in front of the window we gained room. So hanging the mirror in front on the window was the best solution and there is no need for a window covering.
I am obsessed with these pendent lights. The mix of wood and glass help make this the focal of the bathroom and I love how the bubble glass cases the light
Pay attentions to all the details, the towel bar attached to the front of the sink, adding decorative containers for all the necessities needed. The best thing about a black & white bathroom is I had so much fun purchasing all different colored towels!
