The school year is starting off different for many of our children. So it’s time to think about setting up a space for remote learning.
If you don’t have a plan in place I hope these tips are helpful.
I am a very organized person and I function best with a plan in place. So I would think our children would benefit from having a well planned out area in the home to learn.

If you are not able to designate a room for home schooling then you need to get creative! Find an area that will allow you to set up a work space that doesn’t have to be cleared away every day. I know the easiest place a lot of you were planning to use is the kitchen counter or table. But trust me it’s going to get very tiresome cleaning up every day. Instead find a corner in your living, family or dining room to place a desk or table so you can make an environment similar to a classroom.
If you are lucky enough to have a room to designate for school that’s great! Try not to set them up in their bedroom, they need to know when school is over they have that room to relax. Make sure you set up this space so everyone has their own spot/desk to work at, this will help them to engage in the new way of learning. Also you want to be organized and prepared for the switch of learning at home.
