It’s time to tackle another room. I’m calling it “the sunroom” but it’s really a porch that has been closed in. It has a high ceiling, 2 large windows a pair of french doors and the sun just shines in.
We will be using it as a room to relax in and enjoy the view of our back yard. No TV just a peacful place to sit!
I invision planks on the ceiling, a large interesting light fixture with a warm taupe color on the walls.

I love the look of the planked ceiling in this picture and the overall feel of the room makes you want to sit and stay awhile.
I am planning to use brick pavers on the floor. I feel this is the perfect room For it. This will keep it casual and practicle since we have two dogs and we are hoping they will spend most of their days laying around in this room.
I’m going to use a sofa that I have and refeshing it with a slipcover, repurposing a drop down desk as a bar and hanging a pair of panels I had from my other home on either side of the french doors. Then I like the idea of purchasing screen shades so we don’t loose the view, adding a textures area rug and maybe 2 wicker chairs.
This is what I’m starting with, rough pine planks white washed, distressed brick pavers and my wall color is Agreeable Gray from Sherwin Williams
So that’s where I’m at with my design, I will update you after the floor gets installed and the room gets pulled together.
